This Hanukkah, it’s up to us to find sparks of light.

Dear John,
2020 has been a trying year.
But during this time of darkness, we searched for sparks of light.
And when we looked hard enough, we found them: new allies for Israel, major strides in the fight against antisemitism, and simple acts of kindness and solidarity among neighbors and strangers alike.
During Hanukkah, which begins tonight, we gather around the menorah, which illuminates our homes. It reminds us of the strength and determination of the Maccabees, and of the resilience of the Jewish people, who have triumphed in the face of adversity for millennia.
AJC made a pledge long ago to never give up on combating antisemitism, defending Israel, or promoting our democratic values. We know that it’s up to each one of us to turn darkness into light.
This Hanukkah, join me in supporting AJC. If you make a gift today, a generous donor will match it, dollar-for-dollar, up to a total of $350,000.

And, if you donate to AJC today, you’ll receive an invitation to AJC’s upcoming donor-exclusive event Sparks of Light 2020: Stories of Hope and Courage on December 21.
On behalf of AJC, I wish you a very Happy Hanukkah.
Warmly,
Harriet P. Schleifer
AJC President
Individual gifts up to $10,000 will be matched through 12.31.20. The total challenge grant is $350,000.
More information about attending Sparks of Light 2020: Stories of Hope and Courage will be provided in a follow-up email to all 2020 AJC donors.
