Animals need us to be ready at a moment’s notice.

Dear Friend,
As director of PETA’s Emergency Response Team, I see the hundreds of reports that we receive each week about animals in need from around the world—and we respond to each and every one.
From scouring local laws in order to help persuade reluctant officials to act to enlisting the help of committed animal activists, we leave no stone unturned in ensuring that cats are rescued from treetops or seized from dreadful hoarding situations … dogs are removed from filthy, cramped pens; provided with shelter to survive dangerous weather; or surrendered by abusive owners … and wild animals enduring illness or life-threatening injuries are given the emergency care that they desperately need. And that’s just scratching the surface!
It’s impossible to schedule for such emergencies—and often, they occur at times when few local agencies are available or willing to respond. That’s why my team provides a 24-hour lifeline to respond quickly when animals need us most.
It’s difficult work that requires significant resources, and you can help keep it going strong. Please make a special year-end gift to PETA today to help ensure that we’re always there for animals. Even $2 can help!
