Two positions available. One Permanent and Fixed Term for 1 year. *The starting salary is 22183 (level 1) rising to 23541 (level 2) on first year anniversary, subject to satisfactory completion of a probation period (pro rata for part time)* *Please ensure you read our Terms and Conditions Information which includes advice on pay, annual leave and hours of working.* We are seeking highly motivated and professional applicants with excellent levels of customer service experience, strong administration, numeracy and IT skills. They must be quick to learn and able to work with a high level of accuracy and commitment. They must be flexible and adaptable in the face of challenges but have empathy for their colleagues and customers. The role involves Registering Births or Deaths by appointment within a strict timeframe, administration work, working alongside events organisers or conducting and registering weddings and civil partnerships. Applicants will be expected to learn a variety of working systems and have the confidence to work alone with customers. When working on events or weddings, hours of work will be flexible, depending on the event but all persons will be on a 24 hour 7 day contract and will be expected to work some weekends and some late evenings on a rota basis. The role is based between the Council House and Loxley House.
* * *ESSENTIAL REQUIREMENTS:* Ability to apply complex procedures in order to promote the flexible running of the service Ability to be organised at work and meet deadlines. Be flexible, resilient and retain willingness for personal and professional development Able to identify and implement service development initiatives, encouraging continual development and challenging underperformance. Experience prioritising work and working to deadlines.
