We’ve already been hard at work securing locations, training leaders, and educating Iowans about how to participate in the First-in-the-Nation Caucuses.
Today, the DNC Rules and Bylaws Committee conditionally approved our proposal for satellite caucuses. This process will allow access for Iowans who otherwise wouldn’t be able to attend their precinct caucus. Now we can focus on the task at hand: building momentum across the state to elect a Democrat who will defeat Donald Trump and move our country forward.

The Iowa Caucuses are so important to our party -- not only because we have a great responsibility as the first-in-the-nation nominating state, but also because the energy and enthusiasm that the caucuses bring to our party keeps us organized all the way to election day.
I know that the hard work we’re going to do between now and caucus night will result in the most successful caucuses in our history. And that hard work will continue all the way to Election Day 2020, and together, we will flip the legislature, sweep our congressional districts, elect a Democrat to the U.S. Senate -- and yes, defeat Donald Trump.
