I attended the Climate Strike today here in Flagstaff to demand action on the crisis we are facing. Right now, there is massive flooding in Southeast Texas that meteorologists are calling unprecedented and ‘not normal’. Several more storms popping up across the Gulf of Mexico and the Pacific threaten to wreak devastation.

Yes, we will always have storms and severe weather, but they are becoming more erratic and intense, and our elected leaders have consistently put their heads in the sand on climate change instead of dealing with the problem. This is what we get when the fossil fuel industry buys our politicians.

But the physical world does not care, and it will not wait.

Help me get to Washington, D.C. so I can push for bold resolutions such as the Green New Deal. I’m not taking a dime of corporate PAC money, and no special interest will ever own my vote in Congress. [[link removed]]

We must force our representatives to act, or we must replace them with people who take the threat seriously.
This is beyond partisan politics. Both parties have played a role in kicking this can down the road. The climate crisis requires all of us to stand up, face the facts, and ACT NOW, before it’s too late.
