Here's how blue wall states like Wisconsin, Michigan, and Pennsylvania fit into the fight to end gerrymandering.

Remember those states that pundits dubbed the blue wall? President-Elect Biden flipped blue wall states Wisconsin, Michigan, and Pennsylvania -- which were essential to his path to victory.

You would think -- with competitive presidential, gubernatorial, and senatorial elections -- these states' races for the House of Representatives would be competitive too, right? Wrong. These states notoriously have some of the worst gerrymandered districts in history. After 2011, we saw a 13-5 GOP advantage in Pennsylvania, 9-5 in Michigan, and a 5-3 map in Wisconsin -- not numbers you'd expect in states with competitive statewide races.

The All On The Line team is working to make local elections competitive in these blue wall states -- and in states across the country -- by ending gerrymandering. But we need 11 people from D.C. to pitch in $15 before 8am tomorrow. All donations will help us achieve fair maps in swing states during redistricting next year.

The 2020 elections once again proved that many congressional districts are drawn to be out of step with the will of the people. Looking at those states again -- Pennsylvania's map was recently redrawn by a court, Michigan voters passed a ballot initiative to adopt new reformed processes for map drawing, and Wisconsin's governor convened a citizen redistricting commission to draw contrasting maps. Momentum is on our side.

Partisan politicians and map manipulators are deeply concerned by our momentum.

We have a path to victory for fair map advocates for many elections to come. But anticipate that our movement for change in our country will only prompt politicians to double down on their map manipulation strategy.

Our success would mean we made elections competitive and fair. The one shot to make that happen for the next decade is the redistricting process next year. Can we count on you to make a donation -- of any amount -- right now to support our work?

Thanks for all you do,
Raffi
