We need everyone on board to win -- make a donation or sign up to hear about volunteer opportunities Indivisibles,
With just 27 days until the Georgia runoff elections on January 5, we want to give you a transparent update on how we’ve gotten involved so far and what our plans are for the next few weeks.
We’re sure we don’t need to remind you that these two seats will determine control of the Senate for at least two years, so winning them both will open up major opportunities to achieve our progressive goals in 2021. That’s why we’re all in, putting in all the resources folks on the ground in Georgia have identified as the most important to help make it happen. Read on for all the details, or if you’re ready to support this work right now, click here to make a donation and here to sign up to hear about available volunteer opportunities.
Here’s a rundown of the moving pieces:
- Paid media. Our first Spanish-language radio ads went live a few days ago, with rural radio ads set to start up later this week. Print ads in rural communities, along with Spanish and rural digital ads, are deep in production and should be ready to go early next week.
- Group support. The 55 active Georgia Indivisible groups are hard at work on strategic campaigns, letter- and postcard-writing, literature drops, and more. And through it all, we’re here to support them with skills, tools, and resources to deliver a win.
- Direct voter contact. We’ve already started our textbanking and phonebanking programs to connect with voters and make sure they register and get their absentee ballots in on time. We’re also hosting national call-a-thons, and our volunteers have worked with VoteFWD to write over 311,000 letters to Georgia voters.
- Partner support. We’ve partnered with organizations doing complementary work on the runoffs, including Mijente, Black Voters Matter, Poder Latinx, and Color of Change. We’ve been working closely with all these organizations and others on the ground in Georgia to make sure we’re not duplicating efforts and that everyone’s work is focused on their greatest value add -- and we’re supporting these groups to make their programs as effective as possible.
All told, we’ve budgeted $800,000 for our work on these races, including $430,000 for all our ad campaigns and at least $90,000 for direct voter contact. Many of these costs simply weren’t in the budget until a few weeks ago -- so we need your help to make sure we can do everything possible to win in Georgia on January 5. Donate $10 today to win back control of the Senate and support all our work for a progressive 2021.

The next 27 days are the culmination of over a year’s worth of election work, and it’s all about giving us the best chance possible to achieve real progress next year. There are major issues at stake -- everything from health care to racial justice to climate to immigration, and more, is on the line. We’re all in to enter 2021 strong, and we know our strength comes from Indivisibles like you working as one. Thank you for everything you’ve done as a part of this movement; we’re excited to move into this next phase together.
In solidarity, Indivisible Team
