Yesterday, Texas Attorney General Ken Paxton filed lawsuits to overturn the 2020 presidential election in one of the most brazen moves we’ve seen against our Democracy.

This is absolutely disgraceful. It is deeply embarrassing that the Attorney General is wasting our tax dollars trying to subvert an election. This stunt will not distract from his scandals and will not change the result of this election. It will only hurt our democracy and waste your money.

For far too long Ken Paxton has abused the power of his office, and yesterday's lawsuits are yet another example of his disregard for Texans, John. Earlier this fall we learned that Paxton is under FBI investigation for taking bribes, on top of existing indictments for fraud that date back to 2015.

John, this isn’t about politics. This is about accountability and integrity. Texans deserve an Attorney General who will defend our democratic institutions and put the Constitution first -- not one who will use the office for cynical, partisan stunts that undermine our democracy.
