John,
Control of the U.S. Senate—and the fate of President Biden's legislative agenda—will come down to a pair of runoff elections in Georgia on January 5th.
Election Day is just 27 days away and CHN is cooperating with groups on the ground doing critical voter outreach, including the New Georgia Project, which is running voter outreach campaigns throughout Georgia to speak with underrepresented voters and help them make a plan to vote.
Our democracy needs marginalized communities and communities of color to show their power—not just in Presidential elections, but in all elections. That's how we advance our shared priorities of fighting for the sick, the poor and the elderly.
Help our allies at the New Georgia Project who are working to increase voter turnout in largely Black and brown communities by ensuring volunteers have everything they need to get their jobs done safely and effectively.
Here is an Amazon Wishlist of items requested by the New Georgia Project, including fortifying snacks, hand sanitizer and PPEs like face masks and face shields, that volunteers on the ground in Georgia need to get out the vote in underrepresented and marginalized communities. Door-to-door contact is the best way to engage new voters: These volunteers deserve protection (And snacks, too. Georgia is a big state! And that means a lot of walking!).
Whatever item you decide to donate will automatically be sent directly to volunteers in Georgia.
Or, if you would prefer not to use Amazon, click here to make a donation directly to the New Georgia Project.
Major issues are at stake in these two runoff elections that will be held on January 5th.
John, your work was critical in making sure underrepresented communities made a plan to vote and voted their priorities during the Presidential election. Together, we’re making sure voters turn out and make a difference in these critical runoff elections on January 5th.
Thank you for all you have done and continue to do.
