Friends,

“Georgia’s hand recount and vote certification confirmed that Asian American and Pacific Islander voters — who make up the fastest-growing demographic in Georgia — helped swing the state for the Democrats for the first time since 1992,” according to the Washington Post.

Now, the nation is gearing up for the special elections in Georgia that’ll determine which party has control of the Senate. The results will either enable Biden and Harris to enact the change they’ve been promising or seal Mitch McConnell’s status as the eternal ‘grim reaper’ of progressive legislation.

These Senate races are going to be tight, but the AAPI voters who helped secure the state for Biden could prove instrumental again. “While AAPI voters comprise only about 4 percent of Georgia’s population,” WaPo explains, “that amounts to roughly 238,000 eligible voters, more than enough to determine races in the narrowly divided state.”

But we can’t take AAPI political participation for granted. In the months leading up to Nov. 3, an Insider poll found that more than 20% of Asian Americans said they weren’t planning on voting. Voter outreach efforts nationwide, including ours, clearly made a difference -- but there’s no guarantee we’ll see a repeat in January. In fact, now that the presidential election is behind us, many Americans are turning their attention away from politics entirely.

That’s why we need your input today. By letting us know where you stand, you’ll help us expand our outreach efforts in Georgia -- and send a message to Democrats that sitting out this special election is NOT an option. So tell us:
