This year makes me reflect on the storms in my own life, and how I survived. I imagine birds in the sky, after a big storm. They are in turmoil. They wonder: where can I go? Where will I get what I need? How do I find help? It’s not like before anymore; when will these things be overcome? When can the old days come back?
After I was born and opened my eyes, my parents weren’t by my side. I grew up hungry and without dreams. I was enveloped by hardship and sorrow. I wished I could sleep forever and make this all stop. I looked for hope, but then I landed in an even worse situation. I lost trust in people. I lost trust in my own ability. Most painful of all, I lost trust in God. I thought it was the end.
Then I came to Love146. At first, I was scared but you did everything to give me a good life. It’s with Love146 that I found love and hope. I have overcome so many trials in my life. All the difficulties that we experience, now I know all these storms have an end. I have not reached all my dreams yet but, I am already successful because of the great storms I survived. And I'm overcoming because of your help.
