Blue Dog Leadership Calls for House, Senate to Stay in Session Until COVID-19 Deal is Reached

WASHINGTON-Today, Rep. Lou Correa (CA-46), the Blue Dog Coalition's Co-Chair for Communications, issued the following statement regarding the ongoing negotiations for a fifth COVID-19 relief package:

"Now is the time for everyone in Washington to put politics aside and come to a bipartisan, bicameral agreement to deliver relief and necessary resources as quickly as possible. Our constituents deserve results-not partisan nonsense. Neither the House nor the Senate should go home for the holidays until a bipartisan, bicameral agreement is made and a bill is sent to the President's desk for a signature. This should not be Congress' last act in response to the ongoing crisis. A deal today should be a building block toward another deal under the leadership of President-elect Joe Biden."
