The Associated Press: “The nation’s top infectious disease expert said [last week] that the U.S. may see ‘surge upon a surge’ of the coronavirus in the weeks after Thanksgiving, and he does not expect current recommendations around social distancing to be relaxed before Christmas.”
We’re about to enter the deadliest phase of the pandemic -- and what’s Trump doing about it? He has largely ignored the press surrounding his top COVID-19 advisor, Dr. Scott Atlas, who recently resigned from the COVID task force, and he is instead tweeting dozens of times a day about supposed “election fraud.”
Listen -- the longer we let Trump and the GOP get away with their misinformation campaign and failure to lead, the more people we will see get sick and die on American soil. We need Dr. Fauci’s expertise and guidance more than ever, and during this perilous time between now and Inauguration Day, we MUST make it clear that we fully support him -- especially since Trump has previously threatened to fire Dr. Fauci in his lame duck period. The stakes couldn’t be higher.
