Dear John,

Next week, Ceres and many of our partners will convene in New York City, joining hundreds of world leaders, company CEOs, influential investors, youth leaders and others to encourage bolder and quicker action on climate change. Ceres’ CEO Mindy Lubber will participate in the Climate Week 2019 Opening Ceremony to welcome private and public sector leaders and highlight the coordinated global progress we have made.

Ahead of the UN Climate Action Summit and Climate Week NYC, Ceres has mobilized a record number of investors to call on companies and policymakers take the bold action needed to limit global warming to 1.5℃ and stave off the worst impacts of climate change.

These investor calls for action include:
These calls come as the impacts of climate change are in stark focus. With massive forest fires ravaging the Amazon rainforest, the hottest months ever recorded this summer, and Hurricane Dorian wreaking deadly havoc in the Caribbean last month, the time is now for the world to scale up climate solutions.

We expect to see more signs of investor and corporate leadership next week, including some robust climate commitments that will set a new bar for corporate and investor climate action.

Be sure to follow us on Twitter for the latest news and read my recent op-ed on investor calls for climate action in Ethical Corporation.
Onward!
