Click here Dear John, It’s been 35 years since Willie Nelson started Farm Aid in 1985 to honor family farmers and raise awareness of the challenges they face. 2020 has been a year like no other – for all of us. We missed gathering together in person at our annual festival, but we’re thankful for all the artists and supporters who joined us from their homes to be part of Farm Aid. Throughout our virtual “Farm Aid 2020 On the Road” festival, family farmers all across the country shared the reasons why they farm and the challenges they face – especially during the pandemic. They told us their visions for the future of agriculture and how – even in the midst of the difficulties they face – they continue to look forward. We know family farmers are resilient, and we know you are too. Farm Aid is committed to being there for our family farmers, but we can’t do it without you. Your support ensures that Farm Aid is there to answer our hotline and provide emergency assistance to family farmers when they need it most. Your gift enables us to provide long-term strategies that strengthen family farm agriculture and promote fair farm policies. With the generous support of people like you, we were able to respond immediately to farmers impacted by the pandemic. The Farm Aid COVID-19 Farmer Resilience Initiative brought together more than 120 partner organizations around the country to disburse nearly $500,000 in emergency grants to family farmers and ranchers. Please, if you can, make a gift right now to keep farmers on the land. Every donation makes a real difference and shows farmers how much they mean to us – just when we need them most. Thank you for standing with Farm Aid as we strengthen the people who feed us and care for our soil and water. And, as Willie always says, "Stay strong and positive." Warmly, |
