In late October, US Fish and Wildlife finalized a rule to remove Endangered Species protections for almost all gray wolves in the lower 48. This premature decision leaves these endangered creatures vulnerable to mass hunts and harassment.

Honey bees continue to decline at an alarming rate, and this colony collapse has significant consequences for ecosystems and our food supply. In 2020, beekeepers reported their worst decline since 2016, and a 76% larger loss than in 2019. We must urge Congress to reform pesticide laws to protect pollinators and frontline communities.

Walruses are also impacted by oil drilling in the Arctic, as well as climate change. However, their plight is less known as other wildlife more often see the spotlight. These extremely social creatures face unique threats from the loss of sea ice, which has forced larger and more deadly "haulouts." Additionally, walruses have seen some of the highest concentrations of harmful algal bloom toxins.
