 Friend -- Today, across the country and across the world, activists are walking out of school and away from their jobs to strike for our climate. What these folks are doing couldn't be more important. I'm so proud of all of the Americans fighting to take immediate, strong action on climate change. We need your voices. We need to keep hearing from you. And we must continue the fight to defeat this global crisis. It's time for America and Congress to take serious action on climate change -- but until we flip the Senate, meaningful legislation addressing our climate crisis is a pipe dream. A grassroots donation to support electing more Democrats to fight climate change in the Senate would go a long way today: Donate $5 or more to support the fight to flip the Senate.
We can no longer sweep this problem under the rug or say, "Oh, we'll deal with it 10 years from now." Climate change is upon us -- and if we do nothing, our world will never be the same. Millions and millions and millions of people across our country and across our globe will be so hurt in so many ways. That's why myself and all my Democratic Senate colleagues stand with those brave activists today, and why we're renewed in our fight to elect Democrats who will fight for meaningful climate legislation before it's too late.
