Just before Halloween, I dropped you a message about our limited-edition Christmas Bee Saver Kits. Well, they're flying off the shelves! So if you fancied getting one for yourself or a loved one, now's your chance.

While you prepare for the holidays, us bees are waiting out winter as best we can. We’re so excited for spring, but climate chaos has made our lives harder with plants flowering at odd times. It's getting trickier and trickier to find the pollen and nectar we need to survive.

I wouldn’t usually be writing to you about Christmas before Halloween has even happened, but this is an unusual year. And I thought – like us bees – you might want to plan ahead.

My friends and I have been working hard all summer to find food and shelter, but it’s difficult with only 3% of Britain’s wildflower meadows left. Add in the extreme weather brought about by climate chaos and you have a recipe for extinction. Sadly, that’s the prospect facing 35 species of us bees.

But it’s easy to help.
