In my district — the Massachusetts 7th — people don’t ask me what pollsters think of a bill or what the ‘partisan dynamics’ are. They ask me, what will it do for my family? What will it do for my condition? Will I be able to feed my kids?
People all across the country are struggling right now. Families who were already living on the edge have been pushed even further. Congress must act now to send every person direct financial assistance to help them get through these unprecedented and devastating times.
I am calling on Congress to include direct payments to the American people in its next COVID-19 relief bill. Will you join me in demanding another round of stimulus checks for the people?
People need direct cash payments to survive. A bill that fails to provide direct relief for families, but shields companies from accountability is NOT a relief bill. It’s a corporate liability bill.
