John,
At Food & Water Watch, we’ve always stayed focused on our mission: mobilizing people to reclaim their political power, holding our elected officials accountable, and protecting our food, water and climate.
With your support, we’ve won fights that no one else thought were winnable, through targeted lawsuits and relentless work at the state, local and federal levels. But many of the policies set in the last four years pose a real and immediate danger for clean water, safe food and a livable climate. Those policies need to be undone as quickly as possible.
With an incoming Biden administration, we now have the opportunity to take bold action in order to protect our food, water and climate. Together, we can right our trajectory. Make a tax-deductible donation to Food & Water Watch this month and your gift will be TRIPLED.

We know the problems we face can be daunting, but we have the solutions and the winning strategy to push forward in 2021. When we advance bold solutions by working directly with people in their communities, we make a real difference. Because of your support we:
-Banned fracking in Washington, Maryland and New York State, and passed a five-year moratorium in Oregon;
-Kept the water turned on for millions of homes across the country during the pandemic by stopping water shutoffs;
-Got the Los Angeles Department of Water and Power to adopt a massive solar/battery storage project that will provide cheap clean energy to 283,330 households while creating good jobs; and
-Organized in Baltimore to pass groundbreaking water affordability legislation called the Water Accountability & Equity Act.
It’s clear that if we work together, we can make meaningful changes for people, our communities and our planet. This is just some of the essential work you make possible through your actions and donations — Food & Water Watch doesn’t take corporate funding, so we couldn’t do any of this work without YOU. And in 2021, we will continue the tough fights. Your donations will be going toward our efforts to:
-Ban fracking on public lands. The Trump administration opened up millions of acres of public lands to fracking. This would not only destroy their natural beauty, but also put more emissions into the atmosphere and further push us toward irreversible climate chaos.
-Fight Big Ag and stop factory farms. We’ll continue to build support for the first-ever legislation to ban factory farms — the Farm System Reform Act — and fight in the courts to rescind environmental rollbacks that have enabled factory farm polluters to harm our waterways and rural communities.
-Make water safe and affordable for all. With your support, we’ll continue to push legislation that supports publicly-owned water systems by providing funds for communities to renovate aging water and sewer systems, address PFAS contamination, control their own water systems and exit water privatization contracts, remove lead pipes, and help make water affordable.
-Protect workers and food safety. We are pushing the USDA and Congress to halt slaughter line speed waivers, and we’re suing to stop rules reducing the number of trained inspectors at meat plants. These rules endanger workers and make the meat we buy less safe.
These are fights we can win — with your support. Make a tax-deductible donation and triple your impact to Food & Water Watch. Thanks to a generous group of members, all gifts will be MATCHED $2-to-$1, up to our organizational goal of $500,000.
