CALL TO ACTION: Demand your MLAs return to Stormont

This is our last chance to protect N. Ireland’s unborn babies. Their lives are now in the hands of your MLAs.

In July, the Westminster Parliament passed an undemocratic law that will force abortion on Northern Ireland if the Stormont Executive is not restored by Monday 21st October 2019. The legislation contained in the Northern Ireland (Executive Formation etc) Act 2019 will legalise the killing of unborn babies, up to the 7th month of pregnancy, and potentially even up to birth ! All our NI Assembly Members (MLAs) say they want Stormont restored but it is only the two largest parties – the DUP and Sinn Féin – who can effectively restore and form a new Power-Sharing Executive. However, there has been no agreement between the two parties to form a new government since 2017. With no sign of a breakthrough in the political deadlock at Stormont, time is running out for our unborn children. But their lives are in the hands of your MLAs. That is why it is so critically important that your political representatives hear from you NOW!

Contact your MLAs, and especially the leaders of Sinn Féin and the DUP, to demand they agree a deal that will restore the Stormont Assembly by 21st October – to uphold the principles of democracy and devolution – but most importantly, to protect our unborn babies and their mothers from abortion in Northern Ireland.
