Hi John,

Canada’s plan to tackle plastic pollution is open for public consultation—but it’s closing Thursday, Dec 9 (tomorrow)!

The federal government is listening to the demands of Canadians when it comes to cleaning up Canada’s plastic waste issue. But with time running out we need to make sure they hear us loud and clear.
Right now, the government is proposing to add plastics to the Toxic Substance List under the Canadian Environmental Protection Act (CEPA) and released a list of six single-use plastic items it proposes to ban.

This is progress but we need to demand more and keep the pressure on. The plastics industry is lobbying against bans and challenging the validity of labelling plastics as toxic.

Can you take a few minutes today to take action and help Canada get closer to a zero plastic waste environment?

With thanks,
Keith Brooks
