It’s pretty simple: Whether or not Majority Leader Mitch McConnell continues to block progress in the Senate will come down to Jon Ossoff and Rev. Raphael Warnock’s runoff elections in Georgia.
Jon and Raphael’s elections will determine how our country responds to the pandemic and whether we provide Americans with the resources they need, including another round of stimulus payments, funding for state and local governments, support for small businesses, and enhanced unemployment insurance.
The results of their elections will determine if we can protect access to health care, improve it, and make it more affordable.
When it comes down to it, these races will determine whether we can put an end to McConnell’s reign in the Senate. That’s why McConnell and Republicans are expected to spend at least $100 million on the Georgia runoffs to stop us from succeeding.
