Hi John,
We talk a lot about how Action Network tools are movement owned and movement built. Here’s why I think that’s so important right now:
It means that we collaborate with our partners — the AFL-CIO, Daily Kos, the DNC, and hundreds of other leading and frontline progressive organizations — to build the powerful, premiere tools our movement needs to build power. It’s the cooperative process that results in our new, cutting edge features, like mobile messaging and ladders templates, and builds on our leading deliverability, intuitiveness, and flexibility that so many progressives depend on.
It also means that we have the flexibility to build the features and deliver on what our movement needs right now, including a tailored migration process for organizations that will need a new set of digital tools when BSD Tools — a valuable piece of progressive movement tech — shuts down sometime next year.
We’re ready right now to migrate any progressive organizations who need a new tool to Action Network.
Earlier this year we helped the DNC migrate from BSD to Action Network, and since then we’ve moved dozens more organizations large and small onto our toolset. Through this process, we developed a straightforward Migration Planning Guide, which breaks down each step in a simple but detailed way and gives access to resources and support from start to finish.
Do you know a progressive organization that will need a new tool after BSD shuts down next year? If so, would you forward this email along to your friends and colleagues who should make the switch?
I’m happy to answer any questions in the meantime — just reply to this email and I’ll get right back to you! Thank you for being a part of delivering movement-owned, movement-built tech to progressives.
In Solidarity,
Marvin Steele
