I’m in Washington right now, working with my Senate colleagues to get additional COVID-19 relief passed for families like yours as soon as possible.

Democrats and Republicans have come together in good faith to devise a framework for emergency funding to help the American people. But Mitch McConnell is calling it a waste of time.

Nobody knows more about wasting time than McConnell. For months, he’s had the Senate do nothing about this pandemic — no additional support or relief for American families. Not a penny.

Our communities, health care workers, teachers, and small businesses have all been let down and left behind because of Republican inaction and McConnell wants to talk about wasting time? Give me a break.

To get meaningful relief across the finish line, we must keep the pressure on McConnell. The American people cannot afford for us to waste another minute.
