“Georgia reports more than 940,000 absentee ballot requests for Senate runoff.” - CNN
John -- we are carving a path to victory in Georgia where control of the Senate is up for grabs. We’ve already seen 940,000 voters request absentee ballots -- truly incredible for a runoff election scheduled in an off-year.
Here are a few Georgia numbers we’re keeping our eye on:
-
We are committing to registering 845,000 Democrats to vote absentee. That’s the sweet spot for achieving the turnout we need to win TWO Senate seats.
-
We’ve identified 536,000 voters who, according to our Runoff Turnout Mobilization score, need extra attention if we’re going to convince them to cast a ballot.
-
Only 1,040 voters have returned their ballots. That’s behind pace given that ballots were sent to voters starting Nov. 18. We need consistent follow-up communication with Democrats to make sure they actually return their ballots.
We’re texting and calling Georgia voters already, and knocking doors in Chatham County.
In just 28 days, this election will be over. We have a tight timeline but a lot of momentum, and we’re up for the challenge of winning TWO Senate seats in Georgia.
Best,
Suzy
