Citing rising COVID-19 infections and hospitalizations in Massachusetts, Governor Charlie Baker on Tuesday said he was scaling back the reopening of the state’s economy in an effort to combat the spread of the virus.
Baker made the announcement during his regular State House news conference, telling reporters the changes take effect Sunday.
Among other restrictions, every city and town will move back to Phase 3, Step 1 of the reopening process.
