John -- There is so much talk about the recent House approval of the Marijuana Opportunity Reinvestment and Expungement (MORE) Act. If passed, the MORE Act would decriminalize cannabis and expunge the records of those facing or living with cannabis related drug charges.

This may sound like a huge win for progressive criminal justice reform, but the truth of the matter is, the Democratic establishment knew it had no chance of Senate approval, or becoming law. 

The failed and racist ‘war on drugs’ should be corrected with REAL legislation that will pass both houses, because there is real work to be done to right the wrongs of the past.
