Hi John,
It’s been a hard year for many of us. Our team at When We All Vote had big plans to get out the vote this election season, but then the pandemic hit and everything changed. Despite all the obstacles we faced, that didn’t stop us.
Even in the middle of a pandemic, volunteers, partners, and supporters like you, John, helped us run one of the largest non-partisan voter registration and turnout efforts focused on young people and people of color this election season.
More than 160 million Americans voted in 2020, the highest rate of turnout nationwide in 120 years, including the highest rates of youth voter turnout ever. And turnout in Black and brown communities was also critical in determining the outcome of elections across the country.
I couldn’t be more proud that you were a part of our When We All Vote team, John. Watch this video we put together to celebrate all we’ve accomplished this year.
The numbers show that our work had an impact on getting people registered and out to vote. This year, When We All Vote helped more than 512,000 people start or complete their voter registration. And through our partners, volunteers, digital content, and events, we’ve educated hundreds of millions of people about the voting process and the importance of making their voice heard at the ballot box.
