(If you call back a second time, we’ll connect you with your other U.S. Senator’s office) Here is a sample call script from Moms Rising: “Pass a COVID-relief package that protects all families and extends paid leave, unemployment benefits, eviction protections and funding for childcare and healthcare.” If you have a personal story about how COVID is impacting you and your family, we encourage you to share it with our Senators. The suffering Covid continues to cause is huge: almost 300,000 dead, 200,000 new cases a day, and over 11 million still unemployed. The Senate has sat on another relief bill for over six months! This is an emergency, and #ReliefCantWait. Call Tillis and Burr now and tell them to have a heart and do their job. Get health insurance for 2021: Healthcare.gov/ is open and ready for shopping through Dec 15th! The ACA has more plans available for the coming year at a slightly lower price, and it’s important that everyone is able to find the plan that works for them. Many supports exist to help navigate the world of affordable healthcare including local NC Navigators and certified enrollment partner websites. Both of these are great options to find the plan that works best for you! Even if you have your own insurance, please make sure anyone you know who doesn’t is aware of this opportunity and deadline.
