Dear John,

As a member of the ICT community, you have helped to win big legislative
victories for Tibet this year.

For the first time ever, Chinese officials who prevent Americans from visiting
Tibet are being identified and denied visas to enter the US. This is a result of
the ICT-backed Reciprocal Access to Tibet Act (RATA) and this step towards full
implementation was accomplished with your support—thank you!

And while it would be easy to take a break during these winter holidays… there
is still much to accomplish on behalf of my Tibetan brothers and sisters and we
can’t stop now, John.

Your persistence in recent months helped the Tibetan Policy and Support Act
(TPSA) pass through the House of Representatives with an overwhelming bipartisan
majority. This legislation denounces China’s attempts to interfere in the
Tibetan religious process of selecting a Dalai Lama, pillage Tibet’s environment
and wipe out Tibetan culture.

But to make the TPSA law, we need to get it passed through the Senate and
ultimately signed by the President. You can demand respect for human rights in Tibet today by making a gift to fuel
ICT’s advocacy efforts on Capitol Hill.

And now is an ideal time to give, because in these final weeks of 2020 we are
striving to raise critical funds to help press ICT’s advocacy agenda forward—and
stand up to the Chinese government’s brutal oppression of Tibetans.

Through the generosity of ICT’s board chair Richard Gere and a group of friends,
when you make a donation today during the Flame of Hope Matching Gift Challenge,
they will double your gift to work 2x as hard for Tibet.

It can be hard to remain optimistic when the Chinese government has treated
Tibetans so horribly for decades.

But thanks to compassionate members like you, the people of Tibet have hope for
the future.

Gratefully,

Bhuchung K. Tsering
Vice President

P.S. If you can make one more gift this year, please donate today because it will be
doubled through the Flame of Hope Matching Gift Challenge. Your generosity will
go a long way towards fueling our advocacy efforts for passage of the TPSA.
