Dear AFGE Activist,

Save the Date - The 2021 Virtual AFGE Legislative Conference will be Saturday, February 20 through Tuesday, February 23, 2021.

Registration will open on Thursday, December 10, 2020. You will need to register for all sessions when you register for the conference. The registration fee will be $75 for all participants.

Even though this year’s conference will be virtual, you will have an opportunity to meet with your members of Congress and your fellow AFGE members to stand together for workplace rights, and to demand safe and healthy working conditions during the COVID-19 pandemic.

Together we will unite, mobilize and act because our time is now.

Legislative Conference Workshops: The highlight of this year’s conference will be new educational training workshops that are an innovative part of how we adapted our curriculum for a virtual environment. You will have the opportunity to choose one of three workshops:

Workshop 1: Legislative Advocacy: Making Your Issues a Priority for Members of Congress: Learn about the new members of the 117th Congress, AFGE’s 2021 legislative priorities and how to effectively advocate for your workplace rights and issues directly involving you, your family and community.

Workshop 2: Your Collective Bargaining Rights: Federal Collective Bargaining Under A New Administration: Develop your 2021 roadmap to federal collective bargaining and protection of your union and workplace rights.

Workshop 3: Grassroots Mobilization and Union Activism: How to Take Action and Get Involved Locally: Design your roadmap of activism to build AFGE power in your community.

In addition to these workshops you will also be able to register for communications training sessions, your district and council meetings, and a Civil Rights Panel and Augusta Y. Thomas Award presentation hosted by the Women’s and Fair Practices Departments.

Registration Details: Registration will open on Thursday, December 10, 2020. Early Registration closes on Friday, January 29, 2021. This year's early registration fee is $75. Members who register by January 29^th will receive an AFGE 2021 Legislative Conference t-shirt in the mail. Additional conference details coming soon.
