Personally Speaking: Keep Moving Hello John, We are pleased to share with you the ninth Personally Speaking blog in our 12-part series of staff stories. This week’s blog was written by Director of Communications Geoffrey Melada. For Geoffrey, his work is personal. After his father died by suicide during his junior year of high school, Geoffrey became a lifelong advocate for victims of trauma – first as a child abuse prosecutor in his native Pittsburgh and later as a journalist in Washington, D.C. As he writes in his blog, “I cannot rescue my father. But perhaps there’s another family that could be helped by the work I do at the Treatment Advocacy Center, another teenage boy whose father could still be saved.” We know that for you, this work is personal, too. Please help us continue fighting for the most vulnerable among us, by supporting our mission to fix this country’s broken mental health care system. Give to the Treatment Advocacy Center today, by clicking here. Thank you for your generous support of the Treatment Advocacy Center.
