John,

We’ve compiled a report from the responses we received to our survey seeking input on how Democrats’ priorities and thoughts on campaigning changed throughout 2020. The feedback we received is invaluable, and we wanted to share some of the key findings:

POST-ELECTION SURVEY REPORT
EXECUTIVE SUMMARY

TOP ISSUES

1. COVID-19
2. Affordable health care
2. Fighting climate change

General Feedback: Those surveyed want Democrats to continue investing in effective grassroots organizing, and focus on making a positive case for what our candidates will do, not just what they oppose.

TOP VOTER OUTREACH STRATEGIES

1. Building the largest grassroots organizing program in MN history
2. Registering new Minnesota voters
3. Earning positive press for Democratic candidates

General Feedback: Those surveyed want the Minnesota DFL to run an aggressive campaign on all fronts, anchored in grassroots organizing and supported by a robust earned and paid media strategy.

CHANGES THROUGH 2020

Those surveyed feel it's more important than ever for Democrats to counter division, focus on bringing people together, and stand up firmly for science, truth, justice, and decency.

Thank you so much for everything you did throughout this challenging year to help us keep Minnesota blue. None of what we do is possible without you.

The work never stops. If you can, please make a contribution that works for you so we can continue building our Party together.

Thank you,

Minnesota DFL
