Dear Friend of the National Parks,
With our country still reeling from a divisive presidential election,
our national parks need protection more than ever right now.
Over the past four years, the size of Bears Ears and Grand
Staircase-Escalante National Monuments has been slashed, oil and gas
drilling on public lands near Canyonlands National Park and others
throughout the National Park System has been prioritized over
conservation, and the shooting of bear cubs and wolf pups in their
dens has been allowed in Denali National Preserve, among many other
destructive actions.
A new administration and Congress next year means we need to be ready
to fight harder than ever to save these special places. Because we
cannot count on any politician to care about national parks as much as
you and I do.
To help us keep up the fight in this time of uncertainty, a generous
NPCA board member is offering to match every new member gift we
receive before midnight on December 31, up to $300,000 -
DOUBLING your impact for the parks you love!

When you join today, every dollar you contribute to NPCA's
Year-End Matching Gift Campaign will be DOUBLED to help us keep these
magnificent places safe next year.

For example, your gift will go twice as far to help NPCA's
National Parks Legal Defense Fund keep fighting in court to shape a
better future for the parks. We're currently engaged in multiple
high-stakes lawsuits, including a challenge to the gutting of the
National Environmental Policy Act, a key environmental law that has
protected parks and other public lands from harmful development
projects for more than 50 years.
Your new member gift will also go twice as far to help us realize the
potential of the Great American Outdoors Act. You helped us pass this
historic legislation this summer to provide funds to begin addressing
decades of neglected maintenance and shortchanging of our beloved
parks.

But we need to keep the pressure on the White House and Congress next
year to fully implement the law and ensure that every single national
park site with worn-out trails, crumbling roads, and failing water and
sewer systems finally starts getting the repairs so urgently needed.
We must hit the ground running in 2021 to start reversing years of
damage to national parks. And we need loyal friends and supporters
like you with us every step of the way.
Your tax-deductible gift of $15 or more will not only go twice as far
for the parks, but brings you complete member benefits, including our
award-winning National Parks magazine and exclusive NPCA luggage cubes
as your free welcome gift!
Please seize this special opportunity to have your tax-deductible
year-end gift MATCHED 100%, dollar-for-dollar, to strengthen
NPCA's advocacy, litigation and other critical park-protection
efforts.

Thank you for standing once again with your parks during this
tumultuous year and in the pivotal months ahead.
With gratitude,

President and CEO
P.S. Your year-end gift is tax-deductible for 2020 and is essential
to the success of NPCA's efforts to protect your national parks
as places of unparalleled wonder, historic significance and cultural
value next year.
So please do your part to help us reach our Year-End Goal. Every $1
you give today becomes $2 and will go twice as far to help us prepare
for the tough park-protection battles ahead - thank you!
