Friend,

On Monday, the United Automobile Workers (UAW) went on strike for better wages and working conditions after failed negotiations with General Motors. This is a stark reminder of how utterly broken our system is: Corporations continue to exploit their workers for the sake of their own profits.

We must look out for the people who have spent their careers working tirelessly to keep this country running. I stand firm with UAW members, and labor unions across the country — join me in supporting their strike. [link removed]

Organized labor is our lifeblood as a country — they were my first partner, they’re my best partner, and they’ll be my last partner in politics. In 2016, I teamed up with labor groups to launch For Our Future, a super PAC to mobilize communities and fight for the rights of working families. I’m dedicated to ensuring workers are treated humanely — that means protecting the right to a living wage by law, supporting the power of collective bargaining, and taking corporate influence out of our politics.

Will you join me in standing with unions?

I stand with organized labor [link removed]

Stand with me on the side of organized labor, equity, and respect.

In solidarity,

Tom
