A judge has ruled in agreement with the worst of the GOP conspiracy theorists.
The GOP has been trying to claim Biden didn’t really win the election – with Fox News reporting that Republican Electoral College nominees have declared in court: “The vote count … is wrong. Tens of thousands of votes counted toward Vice President Biden’s final tally were the product of illegality, and physical and computer-based fraud leading to ‘outright ballot stuffing.’’’
Friend, 80 million Americans voted for Joe Biden, who also won fair and square in the Electoral College. There was no ballot stuffing.
But a district judge in Georgia previously AGREED with the GOP, granting the emergency motion filed by Republican electors to freeze voting data and allow the far-right to “investigate.”
This established a dangerous precedent that any candidate who feels like they should have won can make a fuss and stall the process (no matter what the vote totals say). And we’re still fighting Trump’s lawyers in court. We’ll keep fighting him until Joe Biden is sitting at the Resolute Desk. But this race isn’t over until Trump concedes, and we need everyone with us until he does.
