John,
Ady Barkan went into the hospital this week to have tracheostomy surgery. While he’s recovering, it’s up to us to keep the conversation going about health care as a human right.
Ady has been sitting down and having honest conversations with the 2020 Presidential candidates about our country’s health care system.
Elizabeth Warren visited with Ady to speak about her vision for health care.

So did Kamala Harris.

So did Cory Booker, Julián Castro, and Bernie Sanders. All of the other major candidates have agreed to sit down with Ady, as well.
Except one: Joe Biden. He hasn’t even responded to Ady’s invitation.
If you’re on Twitter, send @JoeBiden a tweet: Every other major candidate is sitting down with Ady to share their vision on health care. Why won’t you?

Ady has been at the center of every major fight of the Trump era, from Trumpcare to the Tax Scam. Even though he can no longer speak due to advanced ALS, his voice is louder than ever.
Joe Biden says that health care is personal to him. He’s suffered through tragedies that no one should have to go through. But so has Ady. This interview series isn’t about confrontation, it’s about building empathy.
Every Democratic candidate for president must be prepared to level with the American people about their health care plan. Together, let’s tweet @JoeBiden and let him know he needs to sit down with Ady to share his thoughts on how best to make health care a human right.
We need to move forward to ensure working families throughout the country are able to afford lifesaving prescription drugs, have the health care they need, and aren’t forced to spend endless hours fighting with for-profit insurance companies when they should be healing.
We are sure Ady and Joe would have a dynamic interview that would help move the debate on health care forward.
Thank you for your support,
