The House has passed legislation to outlaw congressional gerrymandering. If we take back the Senate in January, it could become the law of the land.

Demand Congress pass H.R.1 (For The People Act) »

Almost two years after its introduction, the Senate still refuses to pass H.R.1 (For The People Act) -- a bill the House passed to fundamentally strengthen our democracy and make it more accountable to all Americans.

This bill may soon become law if we take back the Senate -- the House is set to pass this bill again next year. H.R.1 would allow us to enter the redistricting process with tough, new restrictions against congressional gerrymandering. This legislation could finally make our democracy work for the people again.

H.R.1 would transform our democracy in four ways by:

  1. Permanently ending congressional map manipulation
  2. Reforming our campaign finance system
  3. Strengthening the government's ethics laws
  4. Expanding voting rights

We must show there's strong public support for this democracy reform bill. Every legislator in Washington needs to know that there's a relentless grassroots army who will fight tooth-and-nail to pass H.R.1.
