Tell Congress NO H-2B increases in year-end spending bill!
Dear activists,
Our Capitol Hill team has just learned that several Members of Congress are considering adding a provision to this month's must-pass spending bill that would increase H-2B visas or authorize the Department of Homeland Security to increase H-2B visas.
Congress must pass a spending bill later this month to avert a government shutdown.
The H-2B visa program is a low-skilled, foreign guest worker program used by landscaping, construction, and food and service firms to hire seasonal workers.
With millions of American workers who have lost work and wages due to the Covid-19 pandemic, Congress should not be considering increases to guest worker programs that could adversely impact American workers!
