The True Story of Gen. Mike Flynn: Part I
By Newt Gingrich
I have known Lt. Gen. Mike Flynn for many years. Despite what the bureaucratic establishment, Democrats, and the liberal news media have tried to do to him over the last four years, I know that he is a great American and a patriot.
I had the great pleasure to sit down with Gen. Flynn this week and talk about his experience serving our country – and then living through the vicious attacks that he endured for daring to challenge the DC Swamp.
The Gen. Flynn I know is wholly devoted to his country, his family, and his wife of 39 years. Born in Middletown, Rhode Island in 1958, Gen. Flynn courageously and selflessly served 33 years in the US Army. After serving in two national security roles under the Barack Obama administration, in 2017 he was appointed as National Security Advisor to President Donald Trump. He was then subsequently embroiled in what has become known as Russiagate – the completely phony Democratic political assault which alleged the Trump campaign conspired with Russia to influence the 2016 election.
Gen. Flynn and his family endured tremendous pain and threats from the government he served for three decades until he was pardoned by President Trump on Nov. 25, 2020.

Gen. Flynn joined me on Newt’s World to share his story with us .
From his early assignments in Honduras, Haiti, and Grenada under the President Ronald Reagan Administration, to his service as an instructor traveling all over the world to train our military forces, to his leadership in running operations in Afghanistan, Gen. Flynn shared with me some of the major lessons he learned through out his career.
One of the most interesting things Gen. Flynn shared with me was his observation about how the Obama administration had treated the military in a totally different way than past administrations. In his own words, he said the Obama administration treated the military as “a thing to experiment with” rather than a defensive reflection of society.
Despite his willingness to disagree with the Obama administration’s foreign and national security policy, Obama twice appointed him to serve the country in top national security and intelligence roles (and the Senate approved his appointments both times). This all changed with Gen. Flynn began to advocate for then-candidate Trump in 2015. Then the swamp’s attack began.

AUDIO: When Christmas was Canceled a Lesson From History
I'm reading an amazing article by Martin Bennett entitled "When Christmas was canceled: a lesson from history." It is about when Christmas was banned in 1647 in Britain during the English civil war, and people rebelled all across the country. They said you couldn't ban Christmas, and they actively opposed the government. It's a remarkable story related to what you may see in the coming weeks as we come closer to the Christmas holiday.

National Pearl Harbor Remembrance Day
Each year on Dec. 7, Pearl Harbor Survivors, veterans, and visitors from all over the world come together to honor and remember the 2,403 service members and civilians who were killed during the Japanese attack on Pearl Harbor on Dec. 7, 1941. Every year, remembrance events are held at World War II Valor in the Pacific National Monument, culminating in a commemoration ceremony.
The beginning of the Pacific War Series, this active history novel by Newt Gingrich and William Forstchen considers alternatives that could have changed the course of WWII. Rather than simply presenting a "what if" scenario, the authors depict the minds of the Americans, British, and Japanese who fought the war. The authors' research shines in accurate accounts of diplomatic maneuvering as well as the nuts-and-bolts of military action, beginning with the Japanese invasion of China. In honor of this important day, we are offering autographed copies of Pearl Harbor for $7.99. These could make great gifts for the history buffs in your life. We only have a limited supply, so get them while they last.

Catholic Charities USA
During the holiday season, our thoughts turn to our family, friends, and those in need. In this spirit, the Gingrich Foundation is pleased to announce that our December Charity of the Month is Catholic Charities USA in recognition of its outstanding commitment to helping the neediest Americans.
Catholic Charities USA (CCUSA) was formed in 1910 to act as the “attorney for the poor.” Today, it has grown to become one of the nation’s largest providers of social services. Catholic Charities maintains an extraordinary range of programs, which provide food, shelter, clothing, counseling, financial assistance, adoption services, disaster relief, and other emergency services to approximately 10 million people each year.
This year in particular, Catholic Charities has been working on the front lines helping those affected by the COVID-19 pandemic. Its programs are community-based and rooted in market principles, careful measurement of results, and on working with individuals to foster greater opportunity and self-sufficiency. These initiatives focus on the basics that all families need to have a chance to thrive.
This Christmas season, we hope you will join us in supporting Catholic Charities USA.

Order Now : Trump and the American Future: Solving the Great Problems of Our Time
Everything is changing.
From the spread of the coronavirus, to the highs and lows of the economy, and on to the election, 2020 will continue this process of change.
We don’t know yet which way the American people will go, but we can describe what is at stake as the radical democratic left continues to go all out to destroy President Trump and his followers. This wild period of change has been intensified by the virulent spread of COVID-19, but its roots go back to the summer of 2015.
This book puts this kaleidoscope of change into context and outlines the choices Americans face in what may be the most decisive election of our lifetimes. No presidential contest since 1860 has presented the American people with a decision more definitive than the 2020 election offers. It is the radical democratic left vs President Trump.
To understand what is at stake, and what must be done, read this book and share it with your friends and neighbors.
