John, On January 20, 2021, President-elect Joe Biden will be sworn into office, and his Administration will immediately set to work addressing the enormous public health challenges facing our nation. COVID-19 is first up, of course. But President-elect Biden has vowed to take a very different approach from the previous Administration by tackling public health challenges head-on with transparency and a commitment to “follow the science.” We believe this commitment must extend to all areas of public health, including protecting our children from tobacco addiction. On January 20, youth tobacco use, especially youth e-cigarette use, will be as serious a challenge as ever. Altogether, 3.6 million kids are using e-cigarettes, according to the latest CDC data. So what would it look like to follow the science in the fight against tobacco – still the leading cause of preventable death in the U.S. – and what might we accomplish in the next four years? |

We have the strategy to make this happen. And with the incoming administration, we have the opportunity to make real progress to end the deadly toll of tobacco use. But we can’t do any of this work without you. Your support has been critical to driving this mission forward over the years, and is even more important now as we prepare for a new Administration. The Campaign for Tobacco-Free Kids is also celebrating our 25th anniversary next year! To fuel our mission in the year to come, we’ve set a goal of raising $25,000 by the end of 2020. Will you help us reach this goal by making a donation today? Your contribution of $50 or more will ensure that we hit the ground running in 2021. |

Thank you for championing the mission. None of our success would be possible without the partnership of our many supporters like you. All my best, |

P.S. – To create lasting change, we need everyone joining in. Send this email to five of your friends and ask them to join the movement today. |
