Friends,
Bill Barr’s colleagues are speaking out about how baseless his -- and Trump’s -- election fraud claims truly are.
“Sixteen assistant U.S. attorneys specially assigned to monitor malfeasance in the 2020 election urged Attorney General William P. Barr … to rescind his recent memorandum,” the Washington Post reports, “saying they had not seen evidence of any substantial anomalies.”
The memo, which allowed “investigators to publicly pursue allegations of ‘vote tabulation irregularities’ in certain cases before results are certified,” gave undeserved legitimacy to Trump’s egregious accusations of widespread election fraud.
For all of his wolf cries about winning, Donald Trump hasn’t provided a scrap of evidence to support his claims of voter fraud in this election -- and yet Barr used the full force of the Department of Justice to gaslight the American people and sponsor Trump’s attempts to undermine Joe Biden and Kamala Harris’s victory.
Barr himself has admitted that the DoJ has thus far not found enough evidence that would sway the election, but he has yet to officially call off the investigation.
This partisan behavior would be unacceptable from any public official, but it is especially dangerous coming from the man who is supposed to represent justice in this country.
We refuse to stand by while Trump’s loyalists make a circus of our electoral process. Trump’s defeat was as legitimate as they come, and these allegations have no merit. Today, we need to know if you’re with us. Tell us now:
Do you condemn Bill Barr?
Thank you for being part of the fight,
