Last month, the World Health Organization (WHO) held its annual assembly.
It began as meeting to discuss the WHO’s global response to the COVID-19 pandemic. It turned into a four-hour session attacking Israel, with some of the world’s worst human rights abusers condemning the Jewish state.
Israel was singled out by some 30 delegations including Venezuela, Iran, Syria, North Korea, Cuba, Malaysia and Lebanon.
Out of the 23 items on the current WHO agenda, just one condemns a single country. That country is Israel.
There are no condemnations of Syria, where civilians suffered years of the Assad regime’s horrific use of sarin gas. Nor Yemen, where 14 million people have no health care.
The only country the WHO chose to target for health violations was the Jewish state.
Unfortunately, it is clear that discrimination against the Jewish state continues to infect United Nations agencies. That’s why our work to ensure strong American support for Israel is all the more vital.
By showing your support and joining AIPAC by December 31st, you will provide much needed resources that will allow us to work with Congress to ensure America’s support for Israel is ironclad.
