“I lift my eyes to the mountains—where does my help come from? My help comes from the Lord, the Maker of heaven and earth.” — Psalm 121:1-2 (NIV) On days we feel especially weary, we can take comfort knowing that the God who controls everything also comes near to us. He is portrayed as a shade from the sun — One who comes so close that He can shelter us from the heat. From creation to the Psalms, from Jesus’ birth to His death on the cross, God has been coming to us, offering us the help we so desperately need and yet could never get ourselves.
Let us remember where to find our help. May you trust in the One who created everything, controls everything, and cares for you whatever you face. Have confidence today that He will see you through this life and into the next — when you take hold of His eternal hope. Praises and Prayers
