Only in Him will we find help and hope.

“I lift my eyes to the mountains—where does my help come from? My help comes from the Lord, the Maker of heaven and earth.” — Psalm 121:1-2 (NIV)

On days we feel especially weary, we can take comfort knowing that the God who controls everything also comes near to us. He is portrayed as a shade from the sun — One who comes so close that He can shelter us from the heat. From creation to the Psalms, from Jesus’ birth to His death on the cross, God has been coming to us, offering us the help we so desperately need and yet could never get ourselves.

Let us remember where to find our help. May you trust in the One who created everything, controls everything, and cares for you whatever you face. Have confidence today that He will see you through this life and into the next — when you take hold of His eternal hope.

Praises and Prayers

  • Pray for people receiving meals and Survival Kits in Latin America. Many people are in need because of the pandemic. Pray that God will use this critical aid to meet peoples’ physical and spiritual need.

  • Pray for over 25.9 million people who are living as refugees in the toughest places on earth. With the added threat of the global pandemic, many refugee camps are not receiving assistance from local governments. Pray for hope and help to come to these people.

  • Pray that God will use the humanitarian supplies packed this fall at the Unto® Global Logistics Center to reach people in the toughest places — relieving their suffering, restoring their dignity, and revealing hope to them. Pray also that He will bless the volunteers who gave their time to pack the aid.
