We have an exciting opportunity for an enthusiastic, hardworking and experienced individual to join the Nottingham City Council Community Safety team. This is a permanent position that will play a vital role in helping the council and the Nottingham Community Safety Partnership to achieve their ambitious targets.

The successful applicant will lead a team of analysts and intelligence officers with responsibility for producing a range of products that support work to reduce crime, anti-social behaviour, substance misuse and reoffending in Nottingham. The post holder will also be responsible for developing improved reporting systems using applications such as Power BI and SharePoint.

You will need to demonstrate excellent written and verbal communication skills, experience using advanced analytical techniques and an aptitude for leadership and multi-agency working. You will be able to confidently and clearly present complex information to a range of audiences and have the ability to deliver to tight deadlines.

ESSENTIAL REQUIREMENTS:

An understanding of crime and ASB as well as key attendant policy, legislation and strategy
Proven experience and advanced knowledge of business intelligence tools E.g. SQL, SSMS, SSIS, SSRS, Advanced Excel or equivalent
Experience of identifying and recommending major changes to strategy and policy in light of data and insight and strategic or political context
Experience of leading, co-ordinating and organising high level briefings and meetings
This post is subject to an Enhanced DBS check and Police vetting?

Interviews will be held remotely on 17th December and will include a technical test as outlined in the person specification.
