We have an exciting opportunity for an enthusiastic, hardworking and experienced individual to join the Nottingham City Council Community Safety team. This is a permanent position that will play a vital role in helping the council and the Nottingham Community Safety Partnership to achieve their ambitious targets.
??
The successful applicant will lead a team of analysts and intelligence officers with responsibility for producing a range of products that support work to reduce crime, anti-social behaviour, substance misuse and reoffending in Nottingham. The post holder will also be responsible for developing improved reporting systems using applications such as Power BI and SharePoint.
?
You will need to demonstrate excellent written and verbal communication skills, experience using advanced analytical techniques and an aptitude for leadership and multi-agency working. You will be able to confidently and clearly present complex information to a range of audiences and have the ability to deliver to tight deadlines.
?

ESSENTIAL REQUIREMENTS:
  • An understanding of crime and ASB as well as key attendant policy, legislation and strategy
  • Proven experience and advanced knowledge of business intelligence tools E.g. SQL, SSMS, SSIS, SSRS, Advanced Excel or equivalent
  • Experience of identifying and recommending major changes to strategy and policy in light of data and insight and strategic or political context
  • Experience of leading, co-ordinating and organising high level briefings and meetings
  • This post is subject to an Enhanced DBS check and Police vetting?

Interviews will be held remotely on 17th December and will include a technical test as outlined in the person specification.
