Friend, I just stepped off stage after the first and only scheduled debate of this runoff election, and I wanted to send you a quick note.

If you tuned in, I hope I made you proud up there. If you weren't able to watch, here's the only thing you need to know: 

We're going to win in 30 days – and Kelly Loeffler knows it. 

That's why she's spending $23 million of her personal fortune to buy this seat, why she's lobbed attack after attack at me and why she spent tonight reading straight from the GOP's playbook of distortion and lies.

The truth is that she doesn't have any other choice. She can't talk about why she padded her own checkbook instead of protecting Georgians from COVID-19. She can't explain why she's trying to rip away health care from millions in the middle of a pandemic. Loeffler can't explain how she's fought for you – because she hasn't. She's just trying to buy this seat and hand Mitch McConnell more power.

Republicans will do whatever it takes to crush our momentum – so I'm asking you for $5, or as much as you can spare. With the GOP spending big, I know a single donation might not sound like much, but it's not just your $5. It's yours, and your neighbor's, and a teacher in Savannah's, and a construction worker in Atlanta's. Together, we're growing a massive, people-powered movement big enough to win this historic battleground race.

As a kid who grew up in the projects, I never saw myself running for the U.S. Senate. But here I am today, 1 point ahead in a runoff election against a GOP incumbent – all thanks to grassroots folks like you, who believe that we can build a better state and a better nation.

So please, friend, a big moment like this might not come around again: Will you donate $5 now to elect Georgia's first Black senator, flip this seat blue and take back the Senate for Democrats?
