Hi John,
I'll be upfront with you. This evening, I'm coming to you with a humble request:
Will you make a small contribution of $10 to join our progressive campaign? The final fundraising deadline of this year is coming up soon, and we need to pick up the pace to reach our $10,000 goal. I'd be so grateful, John.

Please know that I don't take asking for your hard earned money for granted.
I wasn't born into a wealthy family, or with unlimited resources at my disposal. I was raised by a single mother, and grew up in public housing in the South Bronx. And I know that over the last year, working families just like mine have suffered, struggled, and sacrificed more than ever before to get through this pandemic.
That's why I'm so eager to begin the fight in Congress for policies that will make an immediate and tangible improvement for working families, like affordable housing, universal health care, and fighting poverty.
But our progressive movement is up against a system that fights back with corporate PAC cash and special interest money. We need to make sure that we have the resources to fight back, so that we can govern with a progressive agenda.
I'm humbly asking for your support now, John. This is the final public fundraising deadline of the year, and we're not on track to reach our $10,000 goal. Please, if you can afford it, pitch in $10 or anything you can afford before midnight.

I'm so grateful for your support and generosity.
