Last night, the Trump Administration reversed their decision to eliminate protections for immigrants — including children — who are receiving life-saving medical care in the United States.

When news first broke that the Administration was cancelling these protections and threatening to deport patients within weeks — essentially a death sentence — I called for a Congressional hearing to hold the Administration accountable for this cruel, inhumane policy, which was implemented in secret.

Together, we made our voices heard in opposition to this policy and demanded that immigrants receiving life-saving medical care be able to stay here in the United States; in their homes and with their families — and we won.
