CMS just proposed the first price transparency rule: requiring hospitals to publish their rates publicly so patients can see prices in an easy-to-access, searchable, digital format BEFORE we get care.
This comes on the heels of the White House issuing an Executive Order directing the administration to take action on price transparency.
This new rule would allow you to see the real prices of healthcare services upfront, giving you greater control, choices, freedom, and flexibility to pick the type of care that fits your budget and needs.
Transparency breeds competition… and competition leads to lower prices and greater options.
